Sustainable practices: the environment is also a priority for Nutrire
22/06/2021Did you know that plastic can take over 400 years to decompose? And it doesn’t end there! Did you know that in a very short time there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans? These are just some data released by the United Nations (UN) on the pollution caused by the disposal of plastic objects, one of the greatest challenges we are facing nowadays.
It is for these and other reasons that our concern for the environment has become a daily commitment, which can be exemplified by measures such as using energy from natural resources, reducing tons of CO2 emissions, among others.
Nutrire’s implementation of practical measures that make a difference also led to another certification issued by Plastiweber. The label of “Friend of the Environment” was given to the company for the use of 29,698kg of plastic packaging in 2019, all of it produced with wind energy, renewable raw materials and sustainable practices, thus providing several environmental and social benefits.
In essence, this number represents a reduction in the use of electricity which is equivalent to the annual consumption of 47 households. In addition, this amount is also compatible with the decrease in annual water consumption proportional to more than 50 households.
For Murilo Souza, Nutrire’s Environmental Specialist, investing in projects that protect the planet not only strengthens the businesses’ mission, but also improves the relationship between businesses and society.
